Allen Gent

Allen Gent is appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Clarke, effective January 1, 2024.

Allen joined Clarke in 2021 as Chief Operating Officer, directing Clarke’s global business strategy and operations for all domestic and international activities. During this time, he has championed the design and management of the company’s long-term growth strategy, intensified the organization’s customer centricity and innovation mindset, elevated industry advocacy as a critical enabler for commercial success, and nurtured the company’s health and safety commitments towards a Zero Incident Culture.

Prior to his work with Clarke, Allen built up a twenty-year career in agribusiness, including overseeing the U.S. Seed and Traits business for BASF and holding leadership roles with Bayer CropScience (seed assets acquired by BASF), DuPont Pioneer, and Monsanto.

Allen holds a Bachelor of Science in Business from the University of Missouri and earned his MBA from Webster University. He and his wife, Judy, have five children and three grandchildren. He enjoys spending time with his family, walking, biking, playing pickleball, traveling, and working in the yard. Allen and Judy share a love for food and discovering great restaurants everywhere they visit.
